Thanks for keeping hard hitting rock alive in Denver! Phoenix Rising knows how to rock!
Hey everyone, Roxii here with your latest update.
I just got home from the fourth day in a row at the studio workin on a new EP for your listening pleasure, and i must say, it is sounding KILLER!!! I cant wait for you all to hear it. Today we cut the guitars (rhythm and lead), and the songs sound amazing. For once we didnt run into any huge technical errors to hold us back, so we got everything done that we needed. Now, after a long, busy weekend, we have the drums, bass, and all the guitars recorded. Now all thats left id for Nikki to come in and sing his ass off..
Also, be keepin an eye out for an upcoming show in August here in Denver. And dont forget to check us out at Hodis in Ft. Collins on August 31st!!
Keeping the metal faith alive,
Roxii Camaro
Hey all. We have just completed our first day back at Alley Studios with Dave Fox. After a few technical difficulties with headphoens and microphones, we got the drum tracks layed down in no time! Since we are recording on analog equipment from 1984, it requires us to get the songs down perfectly in one take or else we will have to start over, but we had no problem doing that, and it went very well. We will most likely be heading back in next Sunday to lay down bass and rhtyhm guitar tracks.
We are also currently discussing how we will want to sell/promote these new tracks after they are completed, but that won't be probably for at least a month, so be patient! We are also discussing the possibility of a DVD feature to be released with these tracks as well, so keep checking back for updates!

1. Please welcome Ed Gonzales (Izzy White) on bass as the newest member of Phoenix Rising! Also, if you were not aware, our drummer search ended a couple of months ago with Chris Hall (Johnny Wylde) joining the band. Please ALSO welcome Greg the Reaper to Phoenix Rising who made his first appearance at our Gothic show in mid-December. If you don't know who that is, check out our photos - he is in some of them.
2. Our newest CD, the <i>Phoenix Rising 3-Song Release</i> has been out now since December, and we ordered 1,000 copies. They are going very quickly though, so if you still want one don't wait! get yours NOW!!! We are planning to head back into the studio shortly to record a single which we will distribute to radio stations nationwide! After that, we hope to get a 5-song EP out sometime this year to sell in stores nationwide!
3. We debuted our latest song, "Blood On The Carousel" at the Hi-Dive on Sunday. It was very well-received by the audience, and we believe it has ALOT of potential to become a huge hit, so we plan to keep it in our set-list as a mainstay for the time being. We have also written brand new lyrics for "Alone I Stand", which we also debuted at the Hi-Dive. So if you haven't been to a show recently, you are missing out! Check out our videos section to see the new version of "Alone I Stand"!
4. Sean, Mike, and myself made a surprise brief appearance on the Lewis and Floorwax show (KRFX 103.5 The Fox) again on January 25th. They just asked us what we had been up to since we played the Last Band Standing competition, and we gave them our newest CD and promoted a couple of shows which you can read about in the next point.
5. We have some shows coming up which promise to be the best to date! We have 3 benefit shows coming up - Feb. 9th at McDonough's Irish Pub in Aurora, March 9th at Iliff Park Saloon in Aurora, and April 19th at the Grand Hyatt in downtown Denver. The first two are benefit shows for Jessica Williams' family to help pay for medical bills, and are open to the public. The show at the Hyatt is a show to raise money for cancer research and will consist of about 10 local bands. It is a private function which you must register for to attend, and as far as I know right now, registration costs anywhere from $500-$1000 per person!
6. We now have an online press kit which anyone can view by clicking on the 'SONICBIDS' logo under our "About Phoenix Rising" section of our page. So if you are a promoter reading this, or just a fan who is interested in learning more about Phoenix Rising, go check it out!!!
7. Our official website "The Widow's Den" <a href="http://www.widowsden.com">(www.w
8. The last thing i can think of is if you want to check out some videos of our past performances, we have some posted up on youtube.com and also here on myspace. In the search fields of those sites just type in phoenix rising ogden, or phoenix rising colorado, just something to that extent and you will be able to find all the videos we have posted. We also have a blog on livejournal.com where we will post updates and info if we don't do so here. The link for that is <a href="http://www.phoenixrisingco.livejo
So yeah, that's all I got for now. Oh yeah! We are still interested in getting a big street team together to help promote the band! So if you are interested in that, there is more info posted in the "How much do you love Phoenix Rising??" blog on our myspace page.

But I have selected just the part which talks about Phoenix Rising for this particular entry:
...Also performing at the Ogden tonight is up-and-coming Phoenix Rising, a hard-rock ensemble from Aurora with three of its members attending school at Northern Colorado. Formed in 2005, the band has played a lot of smaller bars and clubs in and around Denver, but this will be the first time playing a venue the size of the Ogden. "This will be one of our biggest shows yet," lead vocalist Mike Lebois said. "We are truly proud to be playing there."
So yeah, that's all I got.
